Ridiculous Bullshit

Temper Trap, Seymour Stein and hype from their manager

Temper Trap are a Melbourne band who released a pretty mediocre EP a couple of years ago and who this year recorded an as-yet-unreleased full length with the guy who produced the first Arctic Monkeys record.

I went to seem them play at what I think was their second London show (at a tranny strip club in Soho, of all places) last night, and as they came on stage their manager turned to me and said, “These guys are gonna be the biggest band to come out of Australia in the next ten years…” And, I scoffed at the time, but after watching their set and also after seeing a certain elderly New Yorker responsible for signing both Madonna and Talking Heads hanging around after the show…. well, who knows, I guess.

Oh please,

this is the worst band that has come out of Australia. If any band is put on a record label with hundreds of thousands of dollars put behind them and people in high positions in the corporate world of music telling everyone they are”the next big thing”.

Of course the average person would fall for the tricks of the game, being told what’s cool for the next year. then go ahead jump on the band wagon.Sounds like rehashed music ripped off of bands that have worked hard for years to gain their their status. I’m sure they did not receive hundreds of thousands of dollars to record their album. Just look at American Idol?. or maybe that’s just what this is?

DISAPPOINTED :(

Man…….

This band is a load of shit, cant people see they are just ripping other bands off to the max. Why dont you just go buy a funeral for a friend album or what about a clap your hands say yeah album.

Why dont record companies give a helping hand to where the real music comes from instead of pumping hundreds of thousands of dollars into music where the artists dont even write their own music, Nice one Dj shadow guess you can sell yourself out for the right amount of cash.

Why dont we all get back to what music really was before it became just another meaningless fad of image rather than substance.

This band sucks
